Better Than I Deserve

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. -Ephesians 3:20-21(NIV)

About 15 years ago I attended a workshop sponsored by my church called Financial Peace University, authored by Dave Ramsey who is a very well-known expert in the area of personal financial counseling. The tag line “better than I deserve” comes from Dave. It has stuck with me through the years, not only in the way Dave uses it in the financial workshop, but as a way of reminding me of the immeasurable grace which is God’s free gift to me and all who call on His name.
